“Birdman”: Top Contender for 2015 Golden Globes

The 2015 Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning,  where The Hollywood Foreign Press Association recognized the best films of the year. “The Imitation Game” and “Boyhood” each received 5 nominations, but “Birdman”, starring Michael Keaton, won the top spot, earning 7 nominations. Besides Best  Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical), actors Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, and Edward Norton were all recognized (not a surprise). Birdman was nominated for all the other main awards; including Best Director, Screenplay, and Original Score. Although some might say award shows don’t matter (who are these 93 members of The Hollywood Foreign Press Association anyway?), we can’t deny that watching The Golden Globes is pretty fun.

Great films were nominated this year, but what about “Intersteller” and “Whiplash”!? Those are my tops snubs of the year. What movies do you feel were left behind?

What do you think?
