‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 25: White House Staffers and More Surprises

Many fans have been wondering who will join the cast of Dancing with the Stars since last season’s finale. The show typically brings up famous faces from the past, along with controversial celebrities of today. It looks like it’s now trying to get another crop of celebrities that will get people talking.

The cast of the next season of the show has yet to be announced, but there have been rumors. Some stem from the professional dancers themselves and others from producers and reports. So where does it look like the show is heading for the new season?

Here are seven things we know about Season 25.

1. Sean Spicer has declined to appear

Another person makes it onto the long list of celebrities who declined to appear on the show! The former White House press secretary was reportedly approached to be on this season of the competition, but turned it down. It certainly would have been interesting.

Producers of the show played coy about this specific rumor. “I do joke around that at some point, I might be able to do a whole cast of those who worked at the White House,” said talent co-executive producer Deena Katz, according to CNN. She continued, “But…I think right now we’re going to work with what we’ve got going on here.”

There were later reports that Spicer declined the offer, which disappointed some. TMZ claims he was flattered by the offer, but has an “overwhelming number of commitments in the fall.”

Spicer’s team never made an official statement on the matter.
