Dwyane Wade has gone from laughing stock to fashion plate in NBA locker rooms.
“When I first started wearing my cropped pants, they were clowning me,” the shooting guard said during Fashion Week.
“But look what happened. They ended up copying me.”
He went on, “Fashion is about being you. Sometimes it’s about being a risk taker, as well. So I’ve had moments where I have taken risks and people have said negative things — but it doesn’t matter to me, because I dress the way I want to dress. I dress in what makes me happy.”
These days, Wade’s a regular at top fashion shows from Milan and Paris to NYC.
He was in town to launch a new 800 Degrees wood-fired kitchen with Miami Heat star Udonis Haslem and executive chef Anthony Carron.
