He just tweeted
Former GE head Jeff Immelt has pulled out of the race to become Uber CEO. He just tweeted his withdrawal. Immelt is currently in Northern California and presented his vision for the car-haling giant yesterday.
But some of the board is now favoring Hewlett Pack Enterprise CEO Meg Whitman, which might have caused Immelt to depart the competition.
Here is his tweet. More to come.
I have decided not to pursue a leadership position at Uber. I have immense respect for the company & founders – Travis, Garrett and Ryan.
