Lady Gaga woke up in pain today due to chronic fibromyalgia, but her spirits were lifted when she donned a comfy sweatshirt given to her by fellow singer Beyonce. The “Born This Way” singer has had to cancel a Brazil concert and postpone the European leg of her tour due to pain.
Gaga expressed her love and appreciation for Queen Bey on Instagram with a selfie of her wearing the navy blue sweatshirt featuring “Ivy Park” in white letters, along with a rosary worn around her neck. The photo was captioned with, “Not having a good pain day. Thank you honey B for sending me this comfy sweatshirt. Keeps me warm outside in a hammock so I can be w the trees, and the sky, and the sun and take deep breaths. Feel so lucky to have so much love.”
Followers responded to the post with wishes for the singer to feel better soon.
In addition to the sweatshirt gift, the “Crazy In Love” singer also sent a bunch of roses to Gaga, who posted her thanks in a separate Instagram post which featured a snap of a large bunch of red roses in a square container along with a hand-written note. In similar fashion to the sweatshirt post, Gaga expressed heartfelt thanks in the caption, which read, “Thank you so much honey B. Miss you.❤️this was so kind. If I hadn’t seen your videos on TV at grandmas house after I got dropped from def jam records, I would have given up. You inspire us all. The dream you embody kept me going.”
The note along with the flowers read, “Thinking of you and sending you so much love. Praying for a quick recovery. Xoxo, B.”
Gaga’s recently released documentary features her going through pain from fibromyalgia. In a recent tweet, the singer said she wishes to help raise awareness of the condition.
