At 92 years and 65 days, she finishes a marathon record

Harriette Thompson who is 92 years and 65 days years old. The oldest woman in the world to compete in a marathon, organizers said the San Diego marathon.
The nonagenarian who was participating for the sixteenth time in the California trial has 7:24 minutes 36 seconds to complete the 42.195 km.
She was greeted by dozens of fans and journalists.

Harriette Thompson began the marathon to raise funds for the fight against cancer, a disease she survived twice but was right of her husband, her two parents, and three brothers.

This grandmother of ten grandchildren has however failed to improve the very unofficial world record in the marathon category 90-94 years which she is the holder since 2014 with a time of 7 h 07 min 42 sec.

She had said before the start of the race that his training program was limited to 17 kilometers.
