Why Floyd Mayweather Fans Are Pissed Off at Justin Bieber

The highly anticipated fight between UFC star Conor McGregor and retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. takes place on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 and will prove to be a star-studded affair. Many of Hollywood’s elite plan on traveling to Las Vegas for the event, including Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington, LeBron James, and Drake.

In the lead-up to the big night, there has been no shortage of celebrities weighing in on who they think will win the match and why. But the most surprising prediction came courtesy of Justin Bieber. The singer rubbed Mayweather’s fans the wrong way with his public statement, and his actions after that really angered the boxer.

Here’s a list of celebrities who have made their predictions, as well as what the Biebs had to say about the upcoming fight.

Justin Bieber was once a member of Mayweather’s Money Team, but it appears that those days are gone. Last week when the pop star was asked for his prediction, everyone expected him to go with Mayweather but he didn’t. Instead of choosing his friend outright, Bieber said, “I don’t think [Floyd will knock McGregor out]. I think it’ll be a good fight.”

This, of course, ticked off some of Mayweather’s fans, who recalled how the boxer stuck by Justin when the singer was going through a pretty rough time. What made the matter even worse though, and really angered Floyd, is that the Biebs unfollowed him on Instagram.

Sources told TMZ that the move set Mayweather off, and he labeled Bieber a “traitor.”
